Since we moved less than a week ago we had a small party for Parker during my weekly moms playgroup. One of my good friends was such a sweetheart and offered to let us use her home which took a lot of the pressure off. It was so weird to host a party where all the decorations were store bought and the food catered. Although it did make things easier, I missed adding my own creative touches.
I found all the supplies I needed on Amazon and have to admit it was nice to do all the shopping in bed one night with my feet up.
For each birthday I like to choose a book that matches the party theme for guests to sign. It’s a fun and practical way of remember who was there sharing the day. This year I chose Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Who’s Birthday Is It? for obvious reasons 🙂
I tend to stay away from typical goodie bags so I decided on fun Mickey and Friends Stickers. The kids didn’t need any help getting creative with them and it didn’t take long for them so start covering their arms and shirts with Pluto, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy.
The Cupcake Stand was a fun and easy way to display the cupcakes. I was pretty impressed with the quality and I was able to disassemble it for possible future use.
We decided to cater from Moe’s for lunch. We love their food and I had heard nothing but good things about their catering service. You can place your full order online or call them. I waited until the last minute so I had to call them but they were efficient, informative, and very friendly. We chose the taco bar which came with all the fixings and a boat load of chips and salsa. For an extra $25 it was not only delivered but they also set it up for us.
Parker had so much fun playing with his friends, eating tacos, and everyone singing Happy Birthday to him. It was nice to take a break from the chaos of moving and spend some time as a family.
