When I started planning Parker’s 4th birthday party I certainly didn’t anticipate the 40 mph winds. Since it was about 95 that day I guess I am grateful the wind offered some relief. It did put a little damper on my overall vision of the decorations but Parker had a blast!
I did purchase a few new toys to make banners a little easier since I make them quite often! The We R Memory Keepers Banner Punch Board and the American Crafts We R Memory Keepers Alphabet Punch Board are both really easy to use and makes banner making much easier.
The wrapping paper was perfect for the table and then to cover the poster board that displayed his birthday chalkboard. It was hard to pic out my favorite photos of the year but I managed to narrow it down to 6.
Surprise, surprise a fabric banner!
The favors were probably my favorite project for this party. Each favor ended up being $5.25/each. I picked up most of the items from the Dollar Tree and then ordered a few other things from Amazon.
1 gift bag (ie doggie bag)
1 bottle of bubbles
1 box of crayons
1 sticker page
1 personalized paw key chain
1 personalized popsicle holder
I’ve been a little obsessed with my Silhouette and vinyl recently so I made personalized popsicle sleeves for all the kids to add to their goodie bags. Several of Parker’s friends have unique names and they were so excited to have something personalized with their names.
We had a few older kids attend so I made them biggie bead earrings.
I will always buy my cutlery from the Dollar Tree moving forward. That have a great selection and you can’t beat the price and the quality.
On the menu was nuggets and fruit from Chick-fil-A, homemade pasta salad, Chickaletta’s deviled eggs, and chex mix. We made the beverages simple with water and Honest Kids juice boxes.
Dessert was Callie’s Cupcakes with your choice of sprinkles, bone shaped rice crispy treats, and Scooby treats. The cupcake stand Rob and I made for my sister pink and gold bridal shower.
As in previous years we bought a book for everyone to sign at the party, “Puppy Birthday to You!” This ended up being the perfect book because it was about a birthday party during a wind storm!
The best part about this party was coming in way under budget since I was able to find almost everything at the Dollar Tree. Between their party section and the random pup related items I was able to find almost everything needed.
Momma got to sport a little LuLaRoe at the party too! These leggings were perfect and I used my Silhouette to make the earrings and shirt.
